Trending @Infosys; What is difference between Associate consultant and senior associate consultant

I had 3.2 yrs of experience in march and I got associate consultant where as my friend selected now in June having 3.5 yrs of experience and he got senior associate consultant with better package. I don't know what exactly the rules Infosys apply when assigning designation. Because just because of i joined 3 months earlier I will have to wait for 18 months just to be senior associate consultant where as he will be considered for bigger role at that time

I joined Infy with 4 years of experience and they gave me an associate consultant role with 16lpa....I should have got Senior Associate Consultant...Even my juniors from previous company have got Senior Associate consultant with 3.3 years of experience.
