How long does it usually take in Infosys for an assignment/ project allocation after H1B visa is approved??
Also what if the current project doesn't share clarity on assignment, how we can check for opportunities outside project??
Technically you can travel from October. Practically it will be December cause they won’t initiated stamping till October. These are scenarios where someone is needed on-site in your project or account and you have the required skill set. Your designation is LCOn so I am assuming you are JL6. Currently there is very little incentive to send a jl6 on-site as you may be handling many infosys operational activities/RFPs etc. all these activities can’t be done from on-site so your manager may want to keep you here to get his work done.my close relative (JL6) is waiting for his stamping for last 4 years. As he is more valuable to his manager at offshore . But if you do more Clint side work and considered sme and your client needs you on-site things will be expedited.
After Visa approval even after 2 years if our stamping is not done ,is it fine to resign what will.happen to Visa which is approved at that time ?
It still stands . Your new company can utilize it. But do take copy of work permit and other details before you leave infosys
There is no formal process to check on-site opportunities outside your project. If you are in a horizontal unit like DNA it will easier as your DM may be handling multiple accounts and can move you around. But if you work in account specific units like adm it’s more difficult as getting out of the account without fighting for it is not possible. In short do lot of networking
Depends on your luck . I have visa from last year Oct but still no opportunities
