I think you can more or less forget about it. At least from infosys. Resign. Take a copy of your petition. If lucky someday a google/ meta may sponsor you based on it. Other option is wait till Trump is ousted. May be democracts will come and reverse the anti H1b tirade.

When we resign in order to recive reliving letter, do I need to get sign off from GI Team as well? Since they have raised the petition will the reliving process be smooth?
