Trending @Infosys; Wait for onsite or switch?

My manager had called me 3 weeks back and asked if I'll be interested in going onsite to Canada. I took a day, checked with my family and responded back positively. After this he just replied back with 'cool'. There has been no update on this since.

Interestingly, this has come when 2-3 senior folks of the project have left in the last month. Is this a way of just throwing the 'Onsite' carrot my way, so that I don't think of switching?

Has anyone else seen such behaviour?

You are spelling onsite incorrectly, the correct spelling is SWITCH.

I was also in the same trap... I personally knew a few folks who got into this trap and waited for more than an year. Now they left recently... so if you have a good offer then switch is the best option.

Don't fall into this trap. You won't be getting hikes, promotion or anything. Switching would be the best option.
