Trending @Infosys; Urgent Suggestions/Advise

I have applied and switched my project but the new project is hell. The client and management is not good. I am trying switch but unable to get calls due to 3 months NP. How to handle this situation. Can you please help me, is there any risk on Job security, if I don’t perform well at level 6 manager position, which they expect me to work as developer.

Thanks much appreciated @Jackfruit10

Resources are not tagged in system with me and same discussed with manager. That is actually issue with project and management itself. They are not ready to listen even. After trying my way best to manage the things, I left out of no hopes to make this project smoother. Instead better to apply my PM skills somewhere else I cn get skills and managing quality people.

But the same time just worried of current market conditions and job security here in this org.

@Coderbaba i can understand that. Keep in mind below 2 things. . .

  1. most of the projects in Infy or any other company will have same challenges, so dont run from the problem. Try to find a solution for this and see how you can deliver best.
  2. It is just a project with just a company. Take it lightly without much stress, and don't hurt your health and mental peace for the peanut salary u may be getting.

@Coderbaba Below are some of the things you ahould try 1: have one on one meeting with each resource and tell them their deliverables and duties and expectations. Make them aware that it will be tracked as a part of their appraisal and performance pay. 2: have discussion with ur manager, give him status about real situation in project with problem areas and risks. Also provide him suggestions and help required from your aide. Like replacing low performing with new ones. 3: Work on gaining clients trust in you. So that you become a critical team member in their eyes, thus making ur position immovable as part of any future escalations.

@ManifestingChange - I tried since I joined project, but no resources. Few system engg are there who are not ready to take things up as a result client and management is pressurizing to meet the deadlines anyhow. I am hell frustrated and loosing mental peace. I am above avg performer even in my last project at infy, but now worried.

If you are at level 6 then why they are expecting developer work? If you are performing as per your role and goals then I think that should be fine. You can talk to GPM or DM about the expectations from your role.
