Trending @Infosys; Unit change or not for project
Hi, I am on bench and from my present unit I am not getting much interview calls or mapping mail. But since 2 weeks I have received 2 interview calls from another unit for project. And that team is saying that they are not able to map me because my unit is different. I asked the same with my bench manager and he told that to get mappiled to those project I will have to change my unit. Now what should I do, stay in current unit( HTADM) or change to other unit( FDADM2). What if I change my unit and they don't take me to their project after client interview.
If you are getting the project, then why not?
If the other Unit is providing you with the project offer and you are done with the interview and all then absolutely go with the Unit Change. Just mail the TPD teams and cc your bench manager and also the new appointing person of contact.
GO with the unit change, there is no worry in that. I have prime examples of my friends who have gone through the same. THE MAIN POINT IS TO BE BILLABLE at this point of time. Goodluck
Switching units is a gamble. If there's no guarantee of a project, you might end up in the same spot. Talk to both managers for clarity and make an informed choice
