Trending @Infosys; Toxicity at its peak
I have come across one issue recently where the onsite scrum master was pressurising to join standup calls on camera , one lady had some personal constraints she mentioned she can't but being a woman herself the scrum master was again and again asking her to come on camera.
Is this acceptable? When someone has genuine concern why people can't accept that just to show their role and the fact that they are at onsite. The other lady is excellent in her work.
Being a senior member in the team I supported her but she shut me up.
The work environment is so unhealthy that no one feels like to work in this project.

Salute to you sir, you stood up for your fellow team member. Its all about who's the bigger animal in the room. May be next time you can be one. Rules bend for those who wield influence and power.

Daily standup call is supposed to be in physical mode where everybody is standing for 15 minutes and interacting as per agile principles however if it is being done remotely then it can be done in camera on mode. Nothing wrong in that. This is industry wide practice.

Please discuss this with your manager, offshore manager and delivery manager. Please explain them clearly the situation. They will help.

I don’t agree it’s toxicity . Everyone is expected to be on camera if it’s a daily scrum call. I can understand for 1 meeting, But that cannot be a constraint
