I had a similar experience today,

I entered Gurgaon for first time (working from past 1.8yrs) , I was laughing on some joke cracked by my friend near bag checking area where we ourself have to pick the tray, I asked guard can I put the bag on rubber chain itself to just save 30 secs, he said in very rude way pick the tray and place your bag into that. And I did that. I was holding my I'd card in my hand without neckband. After 30 secs that guard said to wear the I'd card in bad tone. I responded in similar. Also told there is no rule to have the I'd card in neck. Infosys shld keep the guard in some limit , they talk/ behave very badly .

Yes, a few months back I wore seminopen crocs as I had some injury, the guard stopped me, I explained to him what the issue is. He mentioned, have you informed your seniors (as if they got time to listen to all these). After arguing for a few minutes he let me go and said to wear shoes or have prior permission...
