Trending @Infosys; Suggestions for reference name in new organisation

I cracked the interview for a role in one of the mnc, but in infy i have not worked on this technology. I have the required knowledge, have completed the internal accelerate projects as well but haven't worked for client on this technology. So HR is asking for a reference in infy. If i give my current reporting manager & hr name in reference, will there be any issue? Can i give reference names of my friends from infy?
