Is specialist programmer a progression from a power programmer? If yes what is its job level in terms of JL? Also approx package for it?
SP is not a progression from PP. SP is at JL6, while PP is at JL5. package for SP is around 12-15 LPA.
Please do not spread false information.STG mainly consists of two groups Architect and Power programmer. Architects are those who come to STG when want to go technical instead of becoming a manager.So any one from other units want to become Technoogy architect they will eventually join STG.Now comming to Power programmer they contain Specialist ProgrammerL1,L2,L3 and Senior Technologist L1,L2,L3.There people can join STG only if they are good at DSA as far for Specialist programmer is considered.SP L3 becomes ST L1.So SP L1 salary is 9.5 LPA.
Also comming to job level for Power programmer there in not band but to maintain consistency SP comes JL 5 and ST comes under JL6
