Trending @Infosys; Setting notice period while on bench

Hello guys! Can someone advise what should we set as notice period in job portals while looking for new job, if they are on bench. I have heard that bench employees are given immediate release in case of resignation. Can someome confirm if that's correct, so I can set my notice period shorter.
