Trending @Infosys; Senior Consultant Role

What is the exact roles and responsibilities of senior consultant in Infosys . I am being approached to work as a ground level developer but I have been told that this is team lead position during my recruitment . Can I politely say No to projects if the roles and responsibilities are not matching to my aspirations ?

In todays agile mode of development there is no real place for leads and people managers. Especially for for service companies like us unless it’s a fixed price project completely driven by infosys. For time and money projects most clients need hands on developers and with daily scrum calls , stories assigned there is no way to hide leads/managers. And Clients don’t want yo pay overheads. There is no specific JD for senior consultant. All depends on what project/clients needs. If you only want to do people management or high level reviews or architect roles you will have to call that out in the beginning to your managers. If the have roles they will try I accede to your demand else eventually you will be put where there is demand irrespective of what you want.

You can say no but your words will be considered as yesterday's budget, "it will be of no use".
