Trending @Infosys; Salary Hike timings - Clarified

I see so many posts asking for it and when they will get salary hikes thought of answering it here to best of my knowledge. Compensation Review in infosys is a annual process which is generally announced in June/July with hikes effective from April 1st. There are no Adhoc / mid year hikes given in infosys unless you get promoted or you resigned and the are trying to retain you. While announcing hikes in June /July, they will give a cut off date i.e should have completed 1 year as of March or April etc or should have been confirmed as of so so and so date for (freshers) so most laterals and new joiners will miss the first salary hike cycle. Infosys has given hikes every year except during 2009 recession, during COVID outbreak (where it was delayed to next Jan) and 2023 where they gave selective hikes based on tenure and rating. Most pandemic joiners didn’t get any hike. Appraisal cycle in infosys is Oct-Sep but that only gives your rating, which impacts your variable pay percentage, your hike percentage and your promotion. The percent between difference between outstanding rating and met expectation rating 15-20% in variable pay , and 7-8% in hikes. Hikes are always determined at org level, and then differentiated depending on your unit and rating. Same with variable pay. So no individual level hikes and Adhoc times hikes unless you threaten resignation or resign and are a critical resource. This year hike announcement seems to be delayed based on management commentary in AGM. So don’t expect any announcement till December atleast.
