Trending @Infosys; Salary for fresher join in Infosys after 3 years
I joined Infosys in Feb 2021 and have been worked on three different projects. I wasn't on the bench for a single month, yet I haven't received a salary hike apart from the yearly bonus. Recently, they hired someone with eight years of experience from a bank, despite their lack of knowledge about our project and technology. I'm currently training this person, and their package is 18LPA. While I don't have an issue with their package, I feel I deserve at least 6LPA . This situation makes me feel sad and disheartened.
Is this happening to everyone who joined as a fresher,or is it just me?
If yes how are handling this as the appraisal month is running?

Move on to a different company, I have overall 18 Years of experience in IT. I have changed 5 companies. Every time I switch my job, I will take a minimum of 40% hike. I have one colleague who is still loyal to the same company, he is earning 1/3 of my salary. It's upto you to stay or move on. If you stick to only one company for so long, they will think that you are not capable enough to move on. Hence, you stayed for a long period.
My motto now is move on if you don't get 30% for two years. If you stay for three years and you should get promoted+ 30% hike or else quit the company.

Only option for growth in career.

I am in the same situation. We have only two options, switch/bridge. ACON & DSE bridges are not available now..need to wait till next quarter. If you can crack PP it will be great. So no option internally.
For switching, we need domain specific expertise. working in support projects, I gained project specific knowledge and I worked in two different domains. So, in which domains I should go for a switch I don't know. We are stuck. The outside job market is very tight unless we don't have great expertise. This project's specific knowledge won't help outside. It's not only you buddy. I think, it's the AI effect. We need to look for a new domain and build expertise. In short, having 3 years of experience is zero. We need to start from the beginning for a new domain which is in demand.
If some one has some solution, please help me out !
In my past project, I delivered more than my team lead and all I got was abuse from my manager. I left the project.

I can understand you, iam in same situation without a gap. Every time project is changed or new managers come I hope at least he/she may understand but no everyone is equal level toxic. Some do mental torture some ask to come office for the peanuts they pay.

True 🥺

Stop corporating with the management. Don't give proper KT's and all.
Worload has exponentially increased but salary stayed stagnant.
Only way right now is to switch, that to is quite difficult now a days.

I am in same situation. I have joined Infosys in March 2021. I think it's better to switch and preparing for that. No use of asking these people for salary hikes as each time they come up with some random criteria and only people in that criteria are eligible for salary hike.

Develop Competency in a particular skill , start from scratch. Try sending a promotion request mail to delivery manager directly, if they don't approve, no worries atleast you tried. Work on skills and switch the company. While switching you tell them that you have worked 3 years in project for the skill that you have developed from scratch in 3 months. No one is coming to see what you have done in your previous company. They will only hear that from you. But Yes for this process your expertise in the current skill is a must otherwise you will make a fool of yourself. Study study and study is the only weapon you can use to excel. Without studies you are nowhere my friend. Hustle hard, reboot your brain and start from scratch then develop a skillet, acquire internal and external certification for them and boom you will see the magic .

Thank you for the suggestions. Will work on it.

Just 18 lakhs, here per month they are earning 4 lakhs from me and no hike. Every service based is like that only TCS, Infosys etc .
Whatever salary you join that will be salary when you left

I have 3 yrs of experience... I was working with the same salary that I had as fresher...3.8 lpa. I resigned and joined new org. Got 100% hike on current package. Don't settle there.. if you want to grow.. get out of there.

I understand your concern but as you have joined as fresher we should not expect more but as they stopped hike its their mistake but they give you hikes also in salary their wont be much difference and best to look for another until you switch you’ll not get good pay in same company and in cooperate field all they maters is experience so once you switch then you can understand the diff b/w fresher n experienced person
