Trending @Infosys; Salaries being judged by uncles

My friend’s father met an acquaintance and asked, “Are you looking for a match for your daughter?” The man replied, “Yes.” My friend’s father said, “I’m also looking for a match for my son.” The acquaintance asked, “Where does your son work?” “Infosys,” my friend’s father answered. The man responded, “Infosys salaries are quite low. My daughter works at Capgemini. If you know anyone suitable, please let me know.”

Did you guys experience anything similar like this?

I’m having second thoughts about my career now.

To such people ask how much he earned when he was your age

That’s a valid question

When he was your age.. at that time considered cost of goods and inflation in mind. Let's say today's 30k is equivalent 10k. So if he was earning 10k then he is equivalent to you. One more fact that will shake your ground: Let's say if he was in INBOSYS 20 years ago His ctc was: 2.5 (20k at time in 2005 = 60k in 2025) Your ctc: 3.6 (30k in 2025)

Now compare who is in trouble 😂
