Trending @Infosys; Retention hike possibility

Hi everyone,

I've submitted my resignation, and my last working day is at the end of November. I currently have an offer with a 90% hike. However, I'm open to staying if Infosys offers a 50% retention hike.

My manager has now offered me a promotion from JL4A to JL5A, along with a standard hike of 15%–18%. They've also assured me of a retention hike close to 30% in the next quarter. However, they're asking me to withdraw my resignation now in order to initiate the promotion process through IJP.

I requested a written confirmation, but they mentioned they are unable to provide anything in writing. My manager, his manager, and the Delivery Manager have all personally assured me that the retention hike will be processed in the next quarter.

I'm unsure how to proceed. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

It's a trap, my friend fell for that and he is still in inbosys with same designation 😂. He lost that in hand offer too lately as someone else replaced him. Also he was moved to bench as his replacement in inbosys was already joining in parallel.

They already created IJP for me and asked me to apply to it. And I got selected in IJP. So role change is bound to happen

Instead you focus on counter offers and try for 200% feasible hike outside.

I am currently in the same exact situation. My release date is in November. This is the exact trap that they want you to fall in. They told me on site and all kinds of opportunities but they are not ready to give anything in writing. Don't believe in their false promises.

Retention hike will not happen
Only through IJP you will go to TL position with 17.5% hike That letter will be rolled out in next quarter only
The effective date may be immediately though

If I choose to withdraw my resignation today, will I still be eligible for the retention hike in the next quarter? As per my understanding, the retention process is usually prioritized when the employee is serving their notice period. Is that correct?

Don't do anything, they're trying to fool you.

Never fall for that trap, just leave.

Remember 2 things. 1st - if they are giving you promotion, it means you are eligible for it. Its not something extra they are giving you, because that anyhow you would have got. 2nd - if you receive the said 15-18% hike, you will not be eligible for the upcoming annual appraisal hike whenever it happens.

I have been through this. I got 20% retention hike first, but then no annual appraisal for me. Which effectively made my hike 10% only because around 8-10% i would anyhow have got it annual appraisal. And then they gave me promotion. Do not consider promotion as a retention hike.

Bro take your resignation back and show all the people that you are right and everyone who commented here not to stay they are wrong.
