Trending @Infosys; Resignation without offer in hand!

Yes, I resigned without an offer letter in hand, and no, it wasn't the wrong decision, AT ALL. Here's what I want YOU to know:

  1. If you're valuable, they'll fight to keep you. When I resigned, they offered me promotions, more money, and even tried emotional blackmail. But here's the truth: putting yourself first isn't betrayal. There's a clear line between personal and professional. Your workplace isn't your home, and your colleagues aren't your family. DON'T fall for the "we're a family" t(c)rap.
  2. Once you decide to leave, stick to it. NO LOOKING BACK. I know it's tough. Your legs shake, your palms sweat-but if you've made the decision, follow through. Trust me, it's the right call.
  3. If you've worked hard, things will work out. I resigned without another offer in hand because I was completely drained. And guess what? Things still worked out. If every morning you wake up wanting to quit, that's your sign.
  4. It's easier said than done, but it's worth it. I had cold feet every time I put in my notice. But here's the thing: if your job is affecting your work-life balance, it's time to walk away.
  5. Companies will lay you off without blinking. If they're struggling to survive, they won't hesitate to lay you off. So why hold yourself back from leaving a toxic environment when every day feels like a nightmare?
  6. No matter how much you give, it's never enough.I gave my all and more to my job, yet when I resigned for genuine personal reasons, I was accused of lacking humanity.

So, is your workplace ACTUALLY your family? I think the answer is pretty clear. In the end, your experience might be different, but one thing remains true for all of us: No job is worth compromising your health.

What did you have to hear or face when you to resign? I'd love to know your stories and any advice you'd like to share!

Resigning without an offer can be risky but sometimes necessary for mental health. Upskill and network during your notice period. Document any harassment. Consider withdrawing resignation if no offers come through.

I appreciate your courage to do this. I am glad you put yourself first. It's okay you will figure out what you want to do in the end. All the best. Wish I had this courage too.

Being an SME or dedicated member of the teams hardly gives time to scale up on skills and sometimes builds up frustration too. You are not allowed to attend classroom sessions or do certifications during work hours. I second your opinion and decision. It is commendable that you took your stance in spite of the blackmailing part. Wishing that you find yourself Happy with the new employer.
