Trending @Infosys; Regarding promotion
I had a call with the delivery manager today regarding promotion and he informed me that for promotion I need to have at least 2 ratings in the system and both of then should be outstanding or commendable. Is it true or he is just giving excuse.

This is not true, i got promoted in just 15 months of joining
Promotion to TA and above are based on slots. Chances are people with good rating will be considered. The slots are usually limited if there are a lot of attritions then more promotion slots open up
If you are really a great resource it’s an excuse , of you are decent resource then it’s the reality, if you are average and below it’s way to tell you wait for 4 years !!!
Rating did not affect the promotion but promotion will be recommended by the manager or through IJP also we can get the promotion
My manager too informed the same
Ideally after 2 yrs you are automatically considered for progression or promotion which also be quick if you showcase good performance. When did u join Infosys?
