Unfortunately that’s how it works!! Folks who are long timers get the wrong ends of deal. There are JL6B from 21L and team leads with more than that. Definitely you are the highest end of the bracket. I am assuming you bring in a specialized skill set which is not available in the market and definetly they have not taken you for people management skills
Some relief to know that! Yeah the client was particular about my inclusion in the team. That helped in negotiations
That explains!! They will do whatever is needed to please the clients. I am assuming you were recommended by the client or have worked with them in some capacity before. Or coming back from on-site with some other it services company.

In quora, I saw JL6A getting 26 lpa😐
Beware! If you don't understand the infy culture .. infy will replace you with other guy and shunt you out. Infy did that with a person who was client favourite and got absorbed from other IT company . He came from a lala company and he continued that culture here too in his team. He was shunted out in six months and client could not also say anything.
