Trending @Infosys; Re-evaluation of compensation

What are the chances of re-evaluation of compensation after a promotion if you feel you have not been given compensation as per your performance? I recently got a promotion but I felt betrayed. Even after getting an outstanding and commendable rating my CTC didn't even cross the 5 LPA mark. Whereas a lot of my colleagues have got up to 6.5, one even got 6.9. So I have sent an email to my manager expressing my dissatisfaction with the compensation keeping DM in cc.

I understand your pain but bro as per my experience don't compare any of your friends and colleagues salary with your salary. Sometimes it depends upon the unit budget and luck also. Same with most of the people. My lead have around 15+ LPA salary as senior consultant and someone who joined after that got a lead consultant with more salary with less knowledge and experience. My full projects depend upon my lead if she goes on long leave then 90% of the defects will not resolve easily still she will not get a good hike and promotion. She is asking from last 2 years. I don' t know why she is not switching company 😅

Yes managers don’t have a direct view of your current CTC or future CTC unless you tell them. Managers can recommend to give higher raise only as retention strategy. Promotion hikes are standard hikes decided by the org. It’s not one person like hr who decides. Every role , years of exp , current percentile of your salary determines your hike. But the standard is 17.5L. If you put your papers they will try to do something as they have a reason to fight. Else much won’t happen.

With an OS and CD rating 5LPA is not possible ,people got 6.5LPA if last rating was OS

Don't expect anything from infy, I also checked with HR and my manager on the percentage hike i got but nothing changed... They said it's standard...
directly initiate the separation in the portal and search outside for a better offer.. all the best

Talk to your manager and HR as well, if you feel you are a good resource and there is a dependency on you, ask your manager and HR for compensation review, and if they won't agree then tell HR that you are pushing me to look for opportunities outside the organisation.
