Trending @Infosys; Rant Salary hike : Employee organization

If Infosys is not increasing the salary of employees since last 3 to 4 years, there should be some action that employees should take collectively.

How can a organisation deny increasing the salary, atleast bare minimum to beat inflation. The increment in most of the case will be 1k - 2k for JL5 and below, if an organization is not able to roll out even 1k despite making profits, let the 80cr man handle the work.

Some action has to taken by government or people in the organisation, as the organization has started taking undue advantage of recession to impose unjust practices on employees!

Enough is enough. What are your veiws?

I thought of the same brother but none of it works, people don't participate and moreover one person can't do anything.... Noone wants to get highlighted coz saving our ass has became a major concern seeing the market and hiring conditions.

The problem is over population and eagerness of this population to work for less without knowing their worth. It's the employees who sign contract during joining to serve 90days notice while company can terminate anytime with a reason(which they can make easily). They don't really mention the hikes or percentage increase anywhere in joining letter hence they know they can get away legally. It's we employees who should take stand and stop accepting these contracts which are totally one sided. But anyways there's always people as I said who'll be ready to work for less and hence all the efforts of labour union blah blah this or that are in vain.

Only solution is switch.

But in legal terms these contracts are worthless, as per law, you cannot enforce anything on anyone just because they have signed on a paper!

The real problem is financial illiteracy, if someone needs to know what financial literacy is, the best place to visit is labour stops! Need to learn how everyone negotiates and works only for the right value even when they know that they will starve if they don't earn for the day.

Who told you that it’s a fundamental right of an employee to get hikes ??

BouncyNugget
BouncyNugget

Not a fundamental right to get hike, but its legally binding for an organization to pay what they promised employee, lets say
X organization hires employee for 100rs in 2021 Its 2025 and still continues to pay - 100rs

Here the actual value of 100rs is gone down to 90

Thus employees should atleast be paid the true value what he was promised during employment

This is usually because the company knows they will get employees for a cheap rate in this market.

I think we can create a petition in change.org and share it with all employees for singing

Mass bunking—no one will take the risk of getting highlighted. We can write a petition and ask everyone to sign it, and later we can upload it to the SAMADHAN portal.

The billing rate is revised YoY based on US labor cost. USD Vs INR is rising in value YoY. They are passing all these benefits as increased margin and higher profits to shareholders! It will be better if we get paid in Infy shares than in Rupees.
