Trending @Infosys; Project Refusal

Hi everyone,

I joined on May 26 as a Senior Associate Consultant. About a week later, I received a call for a project. I was also mapped to another demand ID around the same time.

During the initial discussion, I informed them that I wasn’t comfortable with night shifts due to previous experience. I was hoping to get into the other mapped demand, but that didn’t work out as they said my technical skills didn’t match their requirements.

Now, I’ve been mapped with a demand id back to the original night shift project, but the manager rejected it, stating project Refusal - not willing to work night shifts.

Will this situation cause any issues, like termination? Do I need to explain myself formally to anyone?

It may be formally counted as proj refusal and hr may ask u why. PSA : flunk the interview rather than giving real reasons which hurt corporate.

This is the only way tbh, get all the details before proceeding with the interview

That's a good idea. But in some cases you get allocated even without interviews, sometimes in case of new projects. It happened to me, I was allocated and all they asked me was whether I'm in or not.

I accepted at first and the process of mapping began - afterwards I got to know they wanted me to work in shifts + relocate, after a day of thought I denied that opportunity.
