Trending @Infosys; Project allocation and layoff
I joined Infosys at the end of October and have been on the bench since then. I have attended multiple interviews, received positive feedback each time, and was even asked to prepare for client rounds—but none of those actually happened for any project.
Is this because there are no projects, or should I be concerned about layoffs?
I am tagged to banking-domain projects as a Java developer, but most of the emails I receive are for support roles with little or no coding, and they are usually for locations like Chennai or Trivandrum.
Are there any projects where we can choose a preferred location and work on roles aligned with our domain and technical skills?
I have also met people who have been on the bench for 10–12 months. Is there any defined time limit for being on the bench, or can someone remain there indefinitely?

Same,i think there is project shortage
Getting 1 call month and rejected for silly reasons

still they are hiring in bulk

I’m on bench since eight months i got 2 project calls right after my project ramped down. I was not prepared for interviews but my manager insisted on attending it . I gave bare minimum and ofc i was rejected. (I just wanted a break and enjoy bench for 2 months) but later when I wanted projects there are no calls. They shifted me to bench code from pre prod something and another unit. Their requirements doesn’t align with my skills so im idle. I got ME first time and NI for the lastest anual performance review I am in pip rn
