Trending @Infosys; Power programmer it seems.

I'm a developer and I would like to know what exactly these so called power programmer at infosys do.

Do they write code which most of the average developers can't ? I mean DSA and all is good but practically speaking from my 5+ years of experience I have never come across any requirement where there is an absolute need for DSA. It's mostly like playing around arrays, strings etc not some shitty algorithmic stuff.

As far as my understanding goes if a developer is able to fix an issue, enhance the existing features that is more than enough.

Any power programmers here ? Your views please.

Thanks

Great. As they say with great power comes great responsibility.

2 of my roommates are SP. One of them is quite good at DSA, but also at problem solving. The other one does nothing at all... One person I know handled infyme and had like 3 4 other devs and he only had 1yoe. Another one I know worked for a global client and worked on their data from around the world. The responsibility as some else mentioned as well as the scale of problems differs.
