Trending @Infosys; Please help me choose!
I am an SAP Commerce Consultant having a total experience of 6 years. Please help me choose between the offers I have. I have been trying to analyse the pros and cons, but still stuck without a decision.
Company A ( Manufacturing industry - Product company) Pros
- Senior Hybris Developer role
- Reputed company
- Able to upskill and become a Hybris specialist/architect in future.
Cons
- No option to switch between projects
- Could be stuck at maintaining an already developed application.
Company B ( Small service based company) Pros
- They deal with variety of e-commerce technologies, and hybris is just one among them.
- Focus on upskilling in Java, Springboot and enterprise level architecture skills
- Learn other e-commerce technologies
- Become an e-commerce expert/architect in future.
Cons
- Very less SAP commerce projects
- Might have to learn other e-commerce technologies.
- Hybris being a niche skill, I may end up losing the expertise in it and might become a Springboot/Java developer with a less niche e-commerce tech stack (Just my assumption). Being a Core Java developer is more competitive compared to being a Hybris Developer.
Please let me know in the comments. Thanks!!

just my point that hybris has less compition than java developet.
One of my senior lead told after 10 YOE He wanted to arch but gor this CCV2 is great if you get chance work. Lets put ur thought alsp. Thanks

Thanks for replying. Even I feel the same. Hybris has less competition and easier to land a good job compared to Core Java development if one has a decent experience.
One has to be really great at Java and Springboot to be able to pursue that path, is what I feel.
And yes it's good to have CCV2 experience. Mainly migration from on-premise to CCV2 is a great learning.
