Trending @Infosys; Please clarify this

My dad expired a few months earlier. I got a job offer. I need this due to my financial conditions. I didn't resign yet. Can the manager give me an early release in such conditions? Please share your input.

First of all my condolences to you and youe family. Secondly it depends if you in a project currently and how much is your dependency. Talk to your manager about your situation coz in the end its in the manager's hands to approve your release early, in your situation i think they might consider it. Another thing is you can connect with the HR of new company and letting them know about your situation as loss of Father is heartbreaking and you can ask for some extension in DOJ.

Thanks for your reply. I'm in the project currently, and I'm a part of a team. I have 2YOE in total. I don't think its a big loss if i leave the project but the work would slightly increase for other members . So, what do you think?

First hurdle is manager. Talk to him and cross it. Manager has to convince DM who May or may not agree. Any reputed company will agree to that 3 month notice. DM can very well state that and stall your release irrespective of your personal situation

Managers can be ruthless you can say since you lost your father you need some time for your mental health and medical things say like that and leave in one month notice and join other organisation
