"I received a call from HR regarding the initiation of a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). I wanted some clarity on the process—if I’m unable to successfully complete the PIP, will I be given the opportunity to serve the standard 90-day notice period, or is termination immediate?
Also, if I choose to resign during the PIP period, what would be the applicable notice period? Would I still be expected to serve the full 90 days, or are there different terms in such cases?"
My experience - If you don't clear pip, then there will be termination with -ve remark on your reliving/experience letter. Resignation during pip will lead to immediate release with no benefit of severance pay.
P.s- I preferred pip opt out option and got immediate release yesterday.
