Trending @Infosys; PIP.

Lot of talks about PIP on grapevine and I am adding some info that could help.Thank you

HOW IT STARTS. You will receive a call from your manager to inform you that you are nominated for PIP and post that expect an email from HR for PIP initiation and Discussion. You will receive a PIP initiation and Discussion email with meeting invite from HR and you will be asked to join the call only from office. Further In the call Manager will explain you reasons for PIP nomination and aur thoda bol bachan dega.Then HR will first explain you about PIP and will ask your consent if you want to accept the PIP. Case 1 : If you choose to accept the PIP, Manager will explain you PIP Goals( If they any how want you throw out the organisation,the PIP goals will be very unrealistic and unreasonable and almost impossible to achieve.Here on Grapevine itself one person was asked to earn 100 DQ points in 30 days as PIP goal). The time duration for PIP could be 30-90 days depends on your PIP manager and HR. Kind Suggestion:Please don't accept PIP before knowing your PIP goals. Case 2 : If you choose to accept the voluntary resignation then HR will tell you about severance pay which is 4 months fixed salary ( As per Severance standards implemented after infy lost severance pay lawsuit against ex CFO) and immediate release for those who are on bench (for folks on project,release will depend on deliverables ofcourse).It is possible to negotiate release date,give it try atleast if you want.Please make sure you ask each and every detail on email.Any Oral or Verbal Commitment or assurance is just another trap and won't be honoured. Case 3: If you reject first two options.Then they will start threatening you with disciplinary action and will not acknowledge your any request or concern.

Yes I had gone through the same as above and resigned yesterday.but i was never answered about the reason of pip( why i got ni)...let it be..manager was responsible for everything....... I know it is tough to choose a decision...but it is better to resign and give those pip time in self skilling, do a few external certification, but you won't regret. I was blackmailed in name of termination.... If company want to throw us out....we can't help ourself to be there ..
All the best . think wisely before choose pip. In my pip task, there were 2 random intermediate certification(30 days) and 2 advance certificate (60 days), participate in accelerate task(30 days) and win an ai.hackathon (60 days). I found it useless....and finally resigned. Submitted all their belongings and trying to figure out what I will do now. P.s-am a married lady 😇

To include- I joined in dec 2021, trained in java, got project..worked in sql, never got any complains, got released from project...got ni rating without listen anything....was in bench for 8 months..dq was 90, did many internal certificatios..many courses...was actively visiting ofc since the day I was called ......got pip...got 2 option either to get terminated (by failing in pip) or resign... applied for resignation at 6 p.m....at 12 a.m I am no more an Infoscion... returned all their belongings... Now Waiting for salary, compensation ampunt and experience certificate.

Please be informed ,PIP in current situation is a trap to layoff the excess workforce,high salaried workforce and some actually/genuine low performing workforce*(these are some real cases where the PIP is justified.So in this case PIP can't termed as Trap but legitimate action). And this started from October 2023 appraisal cycle.Most of the folks approximately 30% of the workforce were awarded with NI ratings and the disputes against this ratings were not heard or intentionally ignored by HR.

So please be vigilant when you are going for PIP discussion.

Are they calling all employees to Mysore for Pip for 6 weeks? Are they bearing all their expenses like ECC and air tickets for calling to Mysore??

It's totally depends on your manager to call you at base location or any other DC.As far as expenses is concern,No idea about it.

An employee who recently joined and is on bench, is there possibilities that this guy also get PIP?

@Mazmech pip is based on on rating but long term bench will harm you..they will ask for offline certification.

Yes you should ask. Lesson for others. If you get NI rating you should fight back. Fight till the top. Immediately reject rating in system.You should fight and tell that not even once during the entire year was any formal or oral communication sent to you about non performance , there is no client escalation, no defects in your deliverable then how the rating is NI. What happens is simple - giving NI rating to a resource on bench is the easiest way to complete your quota. Cause if manager gives ni rating to person on project more or less that person is out. So loss for him. Only after he has no option left on bench, he goes to folks on project.

How to reject rating..if we don't sign off is it rejected?
