I have 10 years of experience at and recently received an external job offer of 45 LPA, prompting me to submit my resignation. In response, pm inquired about my aspirations and has now offered to send me to Onsite within 3 months, provided I withdraw my resignation (ESAP). Should I consider this offer, or could it be a potential trap to keep me from leaving?”
From last one year I got trapped with onsite promise but till now no hope I can see .

You have very nice offer...Switch the company....Onsite is a long term trap and short term enjoyement....after your onsite you ll be having almost same salary and no further promotion or good increment siting they gave you onsite..They always behave like they did favour giving u onsite....You can try for onsite from your new organization and that will be an added advantage....
If it is US, 3 months is happening. Anywhere else is fine
Onsite offers can be tricky. They might not happen as promised. Weigh the certainty of 45 LPA against the uncertainty of the onsite promise. Choose wisely.
Honestly, it all depends on your luck. Even if you have visa cleared, you won’t get to go onsite unless the project really requires. Be it Infosys or any other company. So I’d suggest get that hike and switch
