Trending @Infosys; On site or Salary hike
On a notice period. I have been offered an on site opportunity in 6 months to Canada. Should I take it or negotiate for salary only?

Switch, don't stay for onsite, you won't regret it. It's the only tactic they know that they can make you stay. It's not guaranteed that you will get an onsite.

All my friends were offered onsite when they put down their papers, none of them took it and are in a really good position now at other services or product based companies.

As per my suggestion if you are getting good hike outside maybe you can consider that as after 2yr again you can shift and get good amount in india . For outside after marriage it will be difficult and also when you will come to india again you will get same less salary better in my opinion change upto 10yr after that where you think to stay you can try onsite .. moreover usually manager give promise to retention only after you take back no guaranty of fulfilment and that time you might regret. Think on all aspects. I am also serving notice period and they gave onsite offer to canada 😃

If you are getting onsite opportunity - take it . Most of the folks who are suggesting staying in India, will run at the 1st instance and are just giving some generic advises. If you want to escape the hell hole which is Indian corporate life, move out . You might get less salary, but you can get a PR and move out in 3-4 years . After that it is up to your capability

Onsite is a trap. If you got offer with 60/70 % hike then you can go either you can ask for 25/30% salary hike in Infosys.

What’s the hike from JL3 to JL4?
