Trending @Infosys; Offer in Hand vs. Internal Promotion

Hello Everyone,

I’m currently in a career dilemma and would love to hear your thoughts. I have offers in hand and was planning to resign, but when I informed my manager, he mentioned that I have been considered for a promotion and would discuss a possible salary revision with senior management.

However, my prospective employers are asking for my last working day at Infosys, and I need to decide soon.

I’m at a crossroads—should I wait for the internal discussions to conclude, or should I move forward with my external opportunities?

I’d love to hear your perspectives, especially if you’ve faced a similar situation. What would you do in my place?

If you’re satisfied with what you are earning and learning right now, just take the promotion and hike and enjoy the company of colleagues you already have. But if the earning and learning is not as per market and expectations better switch and make new friends and maybe learn new technologies. At last money doesn’t matter but the money we are earning is making any difference matters.

Your salary revision and promotion won't be more than 20% by any means. Your prospective employer can pay you atleast 40% more than your CTC
