Trending @Infosys; Need suggestion

Hi people, I have got an offer from a startup but the thing is I lied to them that I was serving notice period and I gave the first week’s of August date to them when they first contacted me. I got the offer but now I’m stuck since I am not able to convince them atleast for this month. Also, I haven’t resigned because they haven’t given me the offer letter yet. I talked to my manager and he said he’ll try at his end to retain. I’m also not sure if they’ll give me this August, will my manager give me an early release(even on the expense of me suggesting a buyout). What should I do in this case? Should I resign once I get the offer letter? Thank you!

If start up is really convinced with your interview performance and if they are fine to add you to their company even after 3 months of notice period then surely they will send offer else they wont send you the offer. Inform the company. Never expect salary revision by holding another offer.

@StudiousChaplain Thank you for your reply. In the last line, are you implying that Infosys won’t be revising my salary even if I get the offer?

Absolutely. Retention % is less now. Infosys won't offer more 10-20% if they still want to retain.
