Trending @Infosys; Need help from senior people ๐ฅบ..Joined as fresher in Infy - now 2.5 Yoe - feeling like I'm stuck in my professional career.
Hi sir, I have joined Infy as a fresher in 2022 as DSE for 6.2 lpa , at that time, compared to other service based one's like TCS, calgemini, Accenture,... Infy was having better reviews like they give good training and also some good learning comparatively... Now I also have 2.5 yeast Yoe in Infy, learnt some good skills but not good enough to Crack interviews...also getting very less hike compared to other service based one's I feel. Now I feel I'm stuck in my life cause my frnds from other companies like Accenture and Cts have switched companies recently but I feel I'm not ready yet to feel confident to Crack interviews. So I want to know how to proceed from now? Pls help.
Might I am not the best person here to give you the suggestions as I am having the same year of exp as you.
"If you spend your time learning your whole life will end but learning any tech stack never."
So better create a good resume where you write your skills, your project name what you have done, mentioned what changes you have made in the project ( like which reduces the time of doing the task i.e earlier it took 30 mins now it takes only 5 mins or 10 mins. )
After that start giving interviews because it takes around 2-3 months to get a call so in the meantime you can upskill yourself.
Once you get a call give the interview, take the feedback and implement it on yourself where you are lacking ( if not get selected ).
After giving 2-3 interviews you will get to know what you need to learn simple.
Hope it helps ! Wish you the best.
Take sometime (just start within a month you will feel confident) to prepare and Switch, double your salary,I think itโs easy for 3YOE experienced ones to get good offers as expectations would be little less considering overall experience.
Start giving interviews , watch interview experience videos and understand where you stand currently, like wise plan your preparation . All the best.

Thank you..actually my health has not been good since some 5-6 months..so I'm not able to do any prep after hours ๐

Hey @AthleticFrosting22 You're feeling that way because you are keen to grow in your career and have zeal to do something for yourself. So that's okay , you are doing a great job. As a fellow infoscian i totally understand you how infosys work exposure makes you feel unprepared and so struck in a shitty comfort zone.
Just sit for a while, research on technologies which you would like to learn that align with your current skills .Or looking to shift your career to a specific domain check those skills what opportunities the market is having on those.Gather the resources (there are plenty free sources available all over the internet)
Give yourself some time , prepare and start just giving interviews just for the sake of understanding what the expectations are. In no time it will all work out. As you have 2.5 yoe already you might bid a good by to infy the time you hit 3 yoe
All the best ๐

@ModernDisparity thank you so much for your valuable support ๐..one more thing to add is I'm currently working on Python and GenAi.. So wanted to know is GenAi or ML engineer career better or learning Django sqL and trying for backend roles is better? Depend on long term market stability

Don't worry nowadays the minimum experience recruiters are looking for is 3 years..you'll switch soon! All the best

Which technology are you working on?

Bro even I am having similar experience and similar situation as you over last 2 yrs I didn't get chance to stick to a single tech and master instead started with informatica then switched to ADF databricks and as a result did not master any skill. As many ppi already said above and many of these things I have implemented and studied data engineering with adf and databricks and then gave interviews first 2-3 i got rejected but then got an offer for 8.6 fixed + 21% var informed to mg while putting paper two months down the notice period he said ki we will give you some significant hike if u are willing to be here i was being offered 8.5 fixed here at infosys with no variable as i am dse LO so i thought situation is better now i should take it and prepare more so that when i complete 3 yoe i can make a big switch also in between i am expecting LO to L1 progression All the best buddy things will indeed go well. Just remember the day you stop learning and studying in IT you will be saturated at same compensation

It's true in infy they don't give hike as compared to other mnc's only solution is the tech you love prepare for it , and give as many interviews possible, start searching seriously and keep job work on less priority

You are getting 6.2 LPA and still upset? ๐ I joined at 3.8 LPA and with 3.8 years I'm having only 5LPA. Be happy with what you have bro. Whatever you have is a dream for many ppl.
