Trending @Infosys; Need Advice Please Guys ๐Ÿ™

Hi everyone,

I really need some guidance here because Iโ€™m honestly feeling stuck and stressed about this situation ๐Ÿ˜“

I was on the bench earlier, and even though there were opportunities available within the same unit, my manager didnโ€™t release me and instead moved me to pre-production work.

Last week, I was offered a new project opportunity. The challenge is: โ€ข It requires a different skill set โ€ข It involves relocation (even though itโ€™s WFH, the base location would change)

Two weeks ago, I had mentioned that I was open to relocating. But recently, things have changed at home. My motherโ€™s doctor informed us that she may need surgery within the next 4โ€“5 months ๐Ÿฅ. She is medically dependent on me, and Iโ€™m her primary support right now.

Because of this, I communicated that I would prefer to stay at my current base location for the time being.

However, my manager responded saying that if I back out now, it will be considered a project refusal ๐Ÿšซ.

I genuinely donโ€™t want to refuse work. Iโ€™m ready to take responsibility and contribute. Iโ€™m just requesting to stay at my base location due to a real and serious medical situation at home ๐Ÿ™

you can reject the project since itโ€™s not in base location. If itโ€™s logged as project refusal you can fight with HR stating itโ€™s not in your base DC.
