Trending @Infosys; Manager moving me to app support team from development team within project
Hi all,
My manager is trying to shift me from development team to application support team within same project as we don't have tasks in dev team , most of the task is being acquired by client team so now manager is shifting me to app support but I don't want to downgrade and work in support also my project alcon date is 30th jun 25, I want your suggestions if I shift to support project I need to work on weekend and in uk shifts also, currently I am working in general shift timings and manager is moving me because I don't have task assigned from last 2months If I don't accept to move into the app support team I will be on the bench and should get allocated to project I have 3yrs of exp in react.js, i need your suggestions on this pls I am literally confused as I am least interested in this project working since last 2.5 years, I have to intimate to manager Tommorow about my decision please provide some suggestions if someone gone through similar situation?
Yes I am preparing for that, so can you suggest should I join app support team within project and prepare simultaneously or ask manager to give me release and be on bench
I dont think manager will release you. But you can look for Ijp and switch. Or speak with DM and get released.
You can let your manager know that you would like to explore other Dev opportunities he has in other teams, he may or may not react well to it . Don’t bother , go to DM if needed but be clear you want to be in Dev work. Do this only if you are supremely confident of your skill set else take whatever comes your way
