Trending @Infosys; Lost & Found… or Just Lost?

In a shocking turn of events at Infosys Phase 1 Pune, my colleague’s helmet decided to explore new career opportunities—most likely with someone else!

He had parked his bike, left the helmet on it (as one does, trusting the universe and Infosys security), only to return and find it had mysteriously vanished. Upon reporting this tragic loss, the security team had a profound response: “That area is not under CCTV surveillance.”

But here’s where it gets interesting—Infosys has a strict rule: No helmet, no entry/exit on a two-wheeler. So now, my colleague is stuck in an infinite loop of security logic: 1. Needs helmet to leave. 2. Helmet is stolen. 3. No CCTV to prove the crime. 4. Still needs helmet to leave.

Basically, he might as well start looking for PG accommodation inside Infosys now.

Moral of the story? If you leave your helmet unattended, it might just find a new owner. And if you plan to park in a non-CCTV zone, maybe carry a backup helmet… or a sleeping bag.

I had the same experience in TCS Kolkata Gitanjali Park when I was employed with that organisation. I left my Studds helmet (cost approximately 1200) in my bike. Someone stolen my helmet from basement and no CCTV coverage was there. May be some employee is doing the stolen business of helmet as because of low hike😆.

Guess what, Infosys charges Rs20/day for parking 2 wheeler in the main campus parking. It will be deducted from your salary. I don't know what is the new rule but if it is the same rule, your friend has paid for parking and got his helmet stolen and now treated like a criminal for not having helmet.
