Trending @Infosys; Looking for Nearest DC Transfer
I was working in TCS in kolkata for 5 Years , got Settled by Purchasing Flat and Got married
Now i joined infosys as Quality Engineering lead and my base location is bangalore HR told that it depends on your project many be u will get to work from anywhere
Now i got my project as Bank of America ( BOFA) and they have restricted ODC only on 4 Location which is not in kolkata , and manager told that you can switch your project after 1.5 years
Can you please suggest that if i will not give good performance will they fire me from project and can i get another project in infosys with my Desired location or i need to wait for 1.5 years or try to switch ?? Please Suggest
What is your base location when you got the offer ? If it was Kolkata you should never have accepted a project which for which yiu cannot work in KK. After 1.5 years you don’t need manager mercy you can apply IJp yourself and get a project. This manager will not do anything to help you do that.
Your plan is not that great. If yiu perform badly most likely you will get NI. Then PIP. No new project will take you when in PIP plus you would need a transfer back to KKT another constraint. More the constraint the lesser the time for you to get a project. So just keep searching for a new job. Thought you nearly had an offer and were just waiting for the final letter
Means i can apply for new job or i can apply for IJP after 1.5 years these 2 option i have right ??

There are few projects in Infosys that most of them don't wanna join due to its strict compliance and unrealistic commitments Infosys gives to the client. BOFA is one of them.....
So anyone who is joining Infosys please note that this is Tier 2 city lover company and will never deploy you at youe given location.
Coming to your question, work in it for 1 yr and switch. This company has more 5 yrs of have a shift in upper management which are orthodox to the core and the growth is bogus.
Can i get my nearest DC if i will show a genuine medical issue for my parents or wife or mine
Can they will give 6 month or 1 year of Work from my nearest DC ??

Exactly!! Or create some medical issue go home and keep dragging it. Don’t apply for exception as yiu can go to KK office. So from infy policy side you are safe. Perform exceptionally well create dependency in yiur project that way manager won’t want to lose you.
