Trending @Infosys; Logic thinking

I'm having 2.5 yoe. Worked in VB script for most of the time. Have little experience in UI. Till now, my main work was either replication of existing code or small enhancements. Recently I was assigned new requirement, then I realised that I am not able to think of logic. Even if I get logic I am not able to understand how to code. Any suggestions how to overcome this or enable logic thinking. Or should I switch the domain?
