Does changing the DU , will get released from the project. Does the relieving manager need to approve that.

if changes in DU means like ADM-XXX to ADM-DEF then i think it is only transferred from one PU to default PU

It depends on your manager. And DM . If ur project doesn't allow you to work from another DC then they might not allow you to change your DC.
