Trending @Infosys; Let me confess that I am confused
I am a guy who joined Infosys last year as a JL4 (analytics related developer) and have been put on a support project for a client is out of the box demanding and commanding. Features of projects is high risk with pile of issues and no guarantee on renewal.
I have recently got an offer letter from an another service based company with a decent amount of hike for more or less a same kind of level. And have been promised with on-site opportunity to Canada soon for the same project at Infy.
The catch here: Let me be honest, not sure if all but some like me, works ultimately in the aim to make more money either it be a kick ass ML engineer or gross support role as long as your doing your best of your best at it.
So I’m really open for any comments/suggestions regarding this. As long as it helps me think clear and taking wise decision.

I am new to infy but I always keep my eyes out for grapevine posts. From what I saw since joining, onsite promises could happen, but takes time and since the hikes are not so good, not sure if it's worth staying for an indefinite amount of time for an onsite opportunity.
Your current client is bad. Your new offer is in a similar role but client may or may not be good. If you are getting decent hike with the switch, then I recommend moving. There's a 50% chance you will be dealt with a better card. If not, the hike atleast would be good. You can always move on to another organisation if the next one isn't aligning with your likes and goals
If you ask me about on site, I have taken back my resignation 2 times for the on site offer and nothing happened and I am again in my last month of notice period and again getting same on site offer which I won’t accept
On site is a scam , navigate ur next.
Everyone who is having offer is getting such on-site offer in Infy ,better to consider the offer that you are getting,it will take years for you to get even 10% hike in Infy
Technology you need to decide but when it comes to onsite ask when you will go to onsite a particular time and ask to mail every detail.
