I totally have 10 days of earned leave. I received an email stating we observe that 3.5 days of your leaves May lapse on December 31, 2025 . This is a reminder to check your leave balance and plan and utilize them to avoid any leave lapsing what does this mean? Should I utilize mine how many leave will get forwarded to the next year
3.5 you should utilise before December 31st. 6.5 will carry over
Is it same for all only 6.5 days will proceed with next year ? Why not the entire 10 days?
You need to take half of the leaves credited in year. Whether you take leave or not only half of them will carry over to next year. So if 16 leaves were credited from Jan to December . By December you need to take at least 8. The rest will carry over . If you have taken less than 8 as if December 31st. Those (8- leaves taken) will get lapsed. Once your leave balance reaches 30, you have no choice but to take all leaves granted . As that os the max limit of carried over leaves
