So this issue is regarding a friend. She is unwell and resigned due to her health reasons. She also wanted early release..her back up is there and kt is also done but the manager is not ready to release her early..she is working even on weekends which is impacting her health..what should she do now?

if she is sick why she is working ? just take rest after login . she can not work hence resigned . No point to resign if she is working. Irrespective of lwd she should take rest.

why work on weekends when she is in notice period? dont even work properly on weekdays i suggest.

If the goal is to get released she can be unavailable to every message or email their team won't expect reply in 2mins she just need to reduce her dependency and availability to team, manager still might not release early but atleast she can take care of her health meanwhile
