Trending @Infosys; Is onsite opportunity a bluff?
My colleague in Infosys recently is making plans to leave the company and has started applying for other companies. His manager texted him out of the blue today, asking if he was interested in going for onsite in his project. His manager told him that they will begin initiation for Visa, but when they got to know that my colleague has < 2 years of experience, his manager told him that it will have to wait for 1 more year to send his Visa application. He feels this is a bluff to keep him in the company. What do you think?
My sincere suggestion is don't fall for this trap when you are planning to leave, nothing is confirmed about the onsite opportunity.
Did your manager knew that you were applying for other companies? and I have read in one of the comment in grapevine saying that he/she got the work visa but didn't got opportunity to go to onsite
You will get onsite opportunity only if you can show good enough dependency. One of my friend got an onsite opportunity, with around 1- 1.5 years of total experience.
