Trending @Infosys; Is INFY not in any mood in retaining leaving employees?
I had initiated a separation on 18 October. Yesterday I received a phone call from HR asking what were the reasons I was leaving and how much of a hike I was getting outside. I mentioned all the reasons that I had discussed earlier with my line manager, but didn't say much on the hike.
Today my line manager(approver-1) has also approved my e-separation and it has gone to approver-2.
Does this mean that INFY doesn't want to retain me at all?
Actually I am not looking for retention honestly, but it'll be really nice to have as it'll help to negotiate an offer outside.
Please let me know what you think will happen next and what should i prepare to get a retention offer (just for the basis of negotiating purposes for other offers)

You have denied to be a 70hrslave, so you are being let go.

Half correct. I refuse to be 70hr slave for infosys. Already started freelancing and got 2-3 months engagement at my current salary.

Is this true without approval? We can't resign ?? As you say the manager has approved

There is no issue, but i feel its concerning that they dont even want to retain a good employee...like i have 2.5 years as SACON, with almost 0 bench engagement and above avg rating. They are actually very poor but their behaviour is absolutely careless

They just don't care bro, u r SACON thats great but they have fallen so low that they will hire two System Engineers for 2/3 of what you are getting and let them do the same... They take vehicle parking charges in their own DC (non Rented)... I was like how low you can get.

They offered me 45% + long term on site. But I revoked. I was suppose to be on-site now but I received a better offer elsewhere.

Good for you

Unless you are a critical resource and don't have much dependency, they don't give a F Harsh reality

Business analysts are dime a dozen. If you want to stay and make a career in IT, have some real IT skills

Not if approved.

It's mainly because of project needs. Even in my project, they don't retain anyone. No matter how good you are.. even they say, you should've told you are planning to leave, so that we would not give the promotion and we would have given to someone else.
Basically the work can be done by any fresher as well. So it's good for them to let go of senior employees. It helps them to maintain the ratio

If your project or team doesn't have dependency on you then sorry your manager will not work on seeking retention hike from HR and upper mgmt.

No one within my team is getting retained even though attrition is very high. JL4 to JL6 people are leaving.

I haven't got any retention calls from HR. It's been two months.
So I am guessing that Infosys is no longer retaining its employees.
