Taking interviews is not at all compulsory.
But you do get some advantages of taking weekend interviews. You get a compoff for taking saturday interview. Also, you get some monetary benefit, but that is decided on the total number of interviews taken in a quarter.

Simply reply "I'm not available on any weekend"

Taking interviews aren't compulsory. Specially on weekends. Just ask your PM or TL for compensation for working on weekends.

It’s not compulsory but if you keep avoiding it it will marked against you as someone not contributing to the unit. So accept it for atleast 1-2 time a month and apply for a comp off .
