Trending @Infosys; Infy Project

I have recently joined Infosys as a lateral hire, bringing with me three years of experience in Java from my previous organization, where I served as a developer on various projects. Upon successfully passing the client interview at Infosys, I was informed by the client that my role would not involve any development tasks related to Java. When I inquired with my manager, he assured me that development work would be introduced later. Currently, my knowledge transfer (KT) has commenced, and I have reiterated my concerns to my manager, who mentioned that the client has plans for a development role and that my aspirations will be met with development tasks. I find myself in a dilemma, as I have no interest in the work assigned to me. What steps should I take in this situation?

Stay patient for now, as your manager has assured you of development tasks. Keep communicating your interest. Meanwhile, explore internal job postings and upskill. If things don't change, consider other opportunities.
