Trending @Infosys; Infosys removing trainees

New freshers have been removed after failing tests in 3 attempts. Can someone share more light regarding this?

This is what happens when your hiring exam is more difficult than those of higher-paying companies. Students pass the exam by cheating or with the help of their academically strong friends, but they fail during training. The fault lies with Infy for its hiring criteria and process.

What's wrong in it... It is fair 3 chances are more than enough if you can't pass in 3 times you are not suitable for the basic IT role.

Tbh as much as I dont like the policies and how infy treats its employees, this looks like the correct approach to not hire people who arent fit for a fresher level job in IT. This tradition of kicking out people who are not able to clear the examination has been in place since quite long. I got here in the same manner and even we have had such instances wherein people were asked to resign after not clearing the exams. This is very well documented in the Service agreement we sign before coming here. There could be a scenario wherein the examination was a tad bit difficult than what it is usually but I feel it is needed since this particular batch of “covid” graduates are students who have cleared their degree by copying and cheating and have no knowledge about IT. I have had new joiners in our team who lack the zeal and passion to learn something new (or even go through the SOPs given to them) . I am sure a genuine candidate whose basics are clear would have no difficulty in clearing such exams
