I received a phishing mail from Infosys only as part of their mock drill or something on which I clicked once when I joined newly for which I got a warning.
After that whenever I got these mails I didn't click on any links instead tried to report as phishing but still I used to get mail that they will be taking action if I continue to click on those links.
Recently this happened for the 3rd time and they sent me an email saying that they will be taking disciplinary action or something. But I'm 200% sure that I haven't clicked on any such link.
When I replied back on that mail I got an automated reply that this mail is not monitored. Whom to contact to get the explanation of how is it happening when I'm not even clicking on the phishing links...
This happened with me, When I checked with CCD my laptop was quarantined. I was about to terminate due to this reason.
Do not freak out.But from now do not click on any suspicious mail monitor External email tag.More over if are good at your work I am sure your manager will come for your rescue.
If clicking is the problem forward that phishing email to Icert. They will handle it you won't get the warning. Before that do not click on any part of the email as there will be js vulnerabilities also
Reach out to your manager and be honest. Tell him that you were aware that it was a phishing mail. Also, whenever you get such mails always report them by clicking the three dots there above in the mail. That is what they want from you - reporting the mail.
Even if you read. Just mark it as unread and delete. Don't click on the link inside it. Trouble starts once you click the link.
