If I apply in IJP and enter my manager's name in releasing manager , will this trigger any email to my manager?

See if you see a IJP profile saying apply button as raise an exception with Manager, then the mail goes to current manger for applying for that IJP profile for approval .

If you simply see a IJP profile with apply Button, don't worry, it's just taking a input form with manger name, if your selected then a mail is sent to your current manager with selection mailer & I think release date aswell mentioned.
