How does last year rating and DQ score matters?. Every project is different. Are you in the same project and same manger since last year?

You are right. But I have seen in Infosys many times good rating are given to to employees who have very good bond with their manager, they may not be very good at work. It's not the good performance always which gives you good rating, it's sometimes the other scenerios also.

NI rating can’t be given unless your contribution is visible. DQ scores just act as a Adhock activity.

Whatever the reason it’s too late to cry now!! The horse has bolted. There is a mechanism by which you could rejected the rating and scheduled reviews with hr and DM. But most likely your manager smooth talked you out of it. Now when PIP came knocking you realised the soup you are in. The core rating comes from the work you do on the project, Dw score is just a differntyiator or a browney point . But yes OD to NI atleast the HR would have flagged and double checked with manager. Your side of story is no escalations. What did your manager tell you why this rating was given. No manager would want to lose a good resource this way. As his performance is sum of work you guys do. So either your manager doesn’t work in Same project as you and has no clue what you do or something has really pissed him off

if you clear all iCount goals and got NI challenge it. Check for the reason to get NI in recorded mail and discuss with your gpm or dm. Take your manager also out of company while you are going out.

Does dq score really help ? Mine is 15 and yet it didn't affect my progression role
